The third One State Solution Week October 23, 2009
The One State Solution Weeks are an experimental group of events that seek to bridge the gaps that the Partition of India has engendered. These are wholly participatory open source events wherein people- bloggers and cultural contributors of any sort are invited to create and run their own mini-event, voice their opinions exploring ideas in favour of a new politics that diverges from representative or identity based grouping, as well as ideas that draw from synchreticism and the notion of identity, during the span of the Week.
The One State Solution Week is an arbitrary one week, annual and a time to come together and explore the important issue of inter-religious conflict between and in the countries of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. These dates are not meant to make or mark any historical milestone, but to gather and further strengthen voices that speak for our cause.
The third among our series is a month from now, beginning on the 23 rd of November and up until the 29th of November 2009.
No prizes for guessing our tag ossw’09 (all lower case) .If you are reading this then do go a step further and announce it on your blog or put the news up somewhere where people can see it.
